arnold house was a house show venue in austin, tx.
but it was also more than that. it was the home base of tiny sounds collective. it was the house where austin's emo scene happened. where major acts like mike kinsella of american football and cap'n jazz came through to play an intimate set in a living room. where potlucks and community connections and life-changing memories happened. the kind of place that became what it is not because of the building itself, but because of what everyone inside it chose to build together, night after night, without anyone asking them to.
it was loud. it was intimate. it smelled like lone stars and cigarettes and sweat and various fruity flavors of vape. if you played there, you already know what it felt like to stand in that room, witnessing history in the making at every show. if you drove across town to sit on a sticky wood floor because someone was reciting poetry they wrote alone in their bedroom, then you know too. pretty sure arnold house is the reason i have tinnitus now, but i wouldn't have it any other way.
we are grateful we got to be there. tbh we're still a little stunned that the timing worked out the way it did. just as we were beginning, arnold house was ending.
on november 22nd, 2025, we played a secret set at the last show arnold house ever held. one song. we wrote it about our favorite house show venue in austin and named it arnold house (dm for the address).
if you were ever in that room, this page is for you.
